Workshop on “The Belt and Road Initiative & Globalization” ( BRI2021 )

The captioned workshop will be organized jointly by the School of Economics, Chongqing Technology and Business University and the Institute of World Economy, Fudan University, the Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education.

Papers on The Belt and Road Initiative concerning, but not limited to, the following topics are welcome:

1) The Belt and Road Initiative: Connectivities, trade, and investment 

2) Globalization and deglobalization

3) Regional integration

4) International development

5) Global Value Chains

Preferences will be given to papers using good data and solid methodology plus evidence-based policy suggestions.

All submissions must be written in English. Papers that meet the requirements will be invited to attend an online or offline workshop. Authors are encouraged to revise their manuscripts after the workshop and submit them to be reviewed for possible publication in a special issue of the Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy (SSCI) via the journal website.

There is no registration fee and if an offline workshop can be held, one author of each selected paper will be provided with economy class air tickets or train tickets (round trip) as well as meals and hotels during the workshop.

Submission deadline: Tentatively by January 20, 2021.

Early submission would be given preferential consideration as papers are processed on a rolling basis.
